ORAL MEDICINE & TMD/OROFACIAL PAIN CLINIC
Oral Medicine is defined as, “the specialty of dentistry concerned with the oral health care of patients with chronic recurrent and medically related disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region, and with their diagnosis and management”.
Services provided:

Oral Mucosal Lesions: Including but not limited to candidiasis, recurrent herpes labialis, recurrent aphthous stomatitis, erythema migraines, hairy tongue, and lichen planus. These can be diagnosed (+/- biopsy) and treated with pharmacological management.

Oral Mucosal biopsy: Includes any lesions involving the mouth or tongue.

Temporomandibular joint disorders: Management of muscle tenderness, limitation in jaw movements, joint noises (clicking and popping) and associated headaches / neck pain.

Orofacial pain: Treatment of pain in the mouth, jaw, and face.

Headaches and migraines: Including botox injection therapy.

Sleep Medicine: Use of dental appliances in patient unable to tolerate CPAP or patients seeking non-CPAP approach to sleep apnea management.
